Manuscript Preparation

Formatting and structure guidance for authors preparing manuscripts for review and publication in GJMMS.

Presentation Matters

A carefully prepared manuscript allows reviewers to focus on the substance of the research rather than avoidable formatting issues.

Structure, Style, and Documentation

GJMMS encourages a clear scholarly structure: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, literature context, method or theoretical framework, results or analysis, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements, declarations, and references. Discipline-specific terminology, notation, measurements, and abbreviations should be used consistently throughout the paper.

The abstract should state the purpose of the work, the approach taken, the principal findings, and the contribution. Tables, figures, exhibits, equations, appendices, and supplementary material should be numbered consistently, cited in the text, and accompanied by informative captions where appropriate.

  • Define specialized terminology, notation, abbreviations, assumptions, and variables when first introduced.
  • Use complete bibliographic references and cite only sources that are relevant to the argument.
  • Ensure equations, tables, figures, and appendices are readable and correctly cross-referenced.

Authors should proofread the manuscript for grammar, consistency, and accuracy before submission. Clear writing is not a substitute for strong research, but it is essential for fair and efficient review.
